February

Yikes where did February go? It’s a bit scary that it’s March already! The cold weather continued here in the UK, but I was very lucky to have the opportunity to do a bit of travelling!

Here are a few of my favourite things from February:

Tim and I went on a lovely trip to Aldeburgh in Suffolk the weekend before Valentine’s Day. It’s a lovely little town on the coast, with lots of great independent shops, cafés and restaurants.

First priority was to try out the fish and chips from the Aldeburgh Fish & Chip Shop – apparently the best in the country. The queue gets so long there is a webcam so you can monitor it! They were pretty amazing! We sat on a bench and looked out at the sea while we ate.

We were really lucky that although it was pretty cold, it was a beautiful day with a lovely sky and even some sunshine! We strolled along the beach and had a delicious meal at Regatta.

A near perfect eyeliner?

A small but still satisfying discovery this month was thanks to Retro ChickL’Oreal Superliner in black. I always have a slick of black liquid liner and have tried lots over the years, but there’s always something not quite right. Having read Retro Chick’s similar experiences I thought I’d give this a go and I’m glad I did as it is really long-lasting, survives many different climates doesn’t dry up in the pot or somehow work its way under my eye instead.

An Incredible Holiday in Singapore

I was very lucky to have the chance to travel to Singapore with my family, to visit my sister. It was an amazing experience! I took a ridiculous amount of photos (will update with a link to the full gallery when I’ve worked through them), ate delicious food, had a taste of the high life, and had walk through a rainforest to name a few highlights! It was a great time to visit as Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations were continuing.

Recipe of the Month

The recipe challenge continues, and I think this month’s favourite was Steak with béarnaise sauce.

So that was February! Excited to see what March brings, though I suspect it will mostly be spent in front of the computer working through all these photos!
